Vishoka Meditation Course
Reach Your Full Potential
Vishoka Meditation offers a precise set of meditative techniques designed to unite mind and breath and turn them inward, allowing us to nourish and rejuvenate ourselves on every level of our being.
Grounded in the authentic wisdom of a living tradition, the simple—yet profound—practice of Vishoka Meditation is the perfect complement to your existing yoga practice, as well as a powerful standalone meditation practice.
The Vishoka Meditation system expands on the 5-Step meditation process you know from the Himalayan Tradition. It will help you take your practice to the next level. If you’re brand new to meditation, it’s a great place to start.

Our Vision
Imagine a life free from pain and sorrow, and infused with joy and tranquility. The ancient yogis called this state vishoka, and insisted that we all can reach it. Vishoka Meditation is a comprehensive system of meditation designed to help us reach this experience, even in the midst of a highly chaotic world. How Do We Get There?
We start where we are at. We train our mind to stay focused on what we can control. We design our meditation practice, our yoga lifestyle, and our worldview to support our evolution towards Vishoka.“Vishoka Meditation is grounded in the direct experience of the sages of the Himalayan Tradition, including Buddha and Patanjali, and embodies yoga’s essential wisdom on the path of meditation.
So far in the west, partial techniques have been introduced as independent systems of meditation. This tendency compromises the efficacy of such meditative techniques, and meditators are left with limited results.
Vishoka Meditation is not just a technique, but rather is a complete system to reclaim our inner radiance and train our mind to remain clear, focused, firm, productive, and joyful in all circumstances and situations in life”
– Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD

The Himalayan Institute teaches classical hatha yoga blended with a modern understanding of anatomy, physiology and therapeutics. Our instructors are trained in the physical aspects of yoga practice which emphasize flexibility, strength and alignment while always bearing in mind that the true goal of yoga is something much more profound. Following our time tested method (we have been doing this for over forty years!), we lead our students deeper into working with the energy body (prana, chakras) and the mind. Our style is unique as asana (postures) is only a piece of what we practice and teach. A strong focus is also placed on learning to breathe, to relax, to focus the mind and to meditate. The Himalayan Institute’s approach to yoga and our teacher training program is a thoroughly holistic – body, mind, spirit practice.
