Jackie Bogdan
Jackie’s journey with yoga began in 1992 at the Himalayan Institute of Buffalo, and she quickly found herself drawn deeper into the practice. From 1994 to 1997, she and her husband, Jim, had the unique opportunity to live and study at the Himalayan Institute’s home campus in Honesdale, PA. It was there that Jackie embraced yoga not just as a physical practice, but as a holistic lifestyle—blending hatha yoga, meditation, philosophy, and a deeper sense of well-being into everyday life. Her passion for yoga has only grown since then.
In addition to her years of study, Jackie holds a degree in graphic design from Buffalo State College. She’s a certified E-500-YT and AYS instructor, and she has been teaching yoga across Western New York for nearly 30 years. Jackie worked at Yoga International magazine for 18 years as a designer and Art Director. In 2013, she took on the role of Center Director at the Himalayan Institute of Buffalo, where she and her fellow instructors continue to support and guide students on their own yoga journeys.
